Party It Up in Breckenridge

No vacation to Breckenridge is complete without at least some nightlife on your itinerary, and you’ll find plenty of options to choose from when planning your vacation. Whether clubs where you can dance the night away are your thing or you prefer to enjoy a casual beer with friends after a full day of skiing or boarding, there is every flavor of nighttime entertainment available to you in Breck.

Today, we’ll explore some of the best places to enjoy a night out in Breckenridge, Colorado.

Enjoy Some Casual Après-Ski Beers at RMU

For those who are searching for the quintessential après-ski bar for a night out in Breckenridge, there’s truly no better place in town than RMU, short for Rocky Mountain Underground. This is not your average après-ski hangout–what once began as a locally-made ski shop has evolved and grown into a lively community hub where mountain culture, delicious cocktails, and superior beer reign supreme.

Locals and tourists alike flock to the easily-accessible location on South Main Street for a beer or a drink after a day spent on the mountain, and for good reason: their cocktail and beer selection is bar none. Choose from themed drinks like the Secret Garden, which comes with gin, a basil balsamic shrub, and lemon juice, or the ever-popular Hot Sandi, a hot buttered rum drink made with Breck Spiced Rum with a dollop of whipped cream on top. You can’t go wrong when you visit this local Breck nightlife favorite!

Catch Live Music at Motherloaded Tavern

It’s hard to feel at home when you’re on vacation, but if you’re hoping to find a place that feels just like your hometown neighborhood bar, head over to Motherloaded Tavern. With five nights of live music a week, bring your dog, your best friend, your family–-everyone is welcome at this spot, which makes for a perfect casual night out in Breckenridge. Don’t miss out on their extensive drink and lunch/dinner menu, which features such standout bites like the Fried Mac and Cheese Bites or the Chicken and Waffle Samweech.

Play a Few Games of Billiards at Brooklyn’s

Want to get in a few rounds with your buddies on the pool table while you’re staying in Breckenridge? Stop by Brooklyn’s Tavern and Billiards, located right on Main Street. This happening bar is more divey than classy, but if you like to enjoy some games along with your beer or mixed drink, it’s the place to be in town. Along with pool tables, you’ll also find other games like foosball, air hockey, and some arcade games as well. For those who don’t want to dress up to have a good time, Brooklyn’s is the spot.

Party the Night Away at The Gold Pan Saloon

If you’d like to lean into the historic Old Western vibes of Breckenridge’s Main Street, you can’t miss out on a visit to The Gold Pan Saloon. Housed in a gorgeously-preserved 140 year old building that stood during Prohibition and hosted its fair share of gunfights back in the old days, today Gold Pan Saloon is a great place to grab some food and dance to some tunes while enjoying your favorite beverage. During the wintertime, the best spot is right near the woodburning stove, where you can enjoy the sweet aroma of burning wood while keeping warm and enjoying a glass of Carboy Wine as the snow falls outside.

Imbibe on Local Brews at Broken Compass Brewery

For those of you who truly enjoy the taste of locally-brewed beer, a visit to one of Broken Compass Brewery’s two locations is the best way you can spend a night in Breck. We’ve mentioned Broken Compass on the blog before, and it definitely deserves its place in Breck’s nightlife as well.

Bring your drinking buddies or anyone else who would enjoy a good beer–there’s plenty of good blends to choose from on their beer list, such as the Coconut Porter, a 5.6% porter that is filled with the delicious flavor of roasted coconut. The Chili Pepper Pale Ale is another popular selection, featuring notes of five different types of chillis with a smooth flavor that’ll blow your socks off. If you can’t get enough of locally-made beer, Broken Compass is the place to go in Breckenridge for a night on the town.

Catch the Game at Ollie’s Pub & Grub

Game time is a great time to go out and find someplace to cheer on your team, and there’s nowhere better to do so than at Ollie’s Pub & Grub. From the moment you step into this bar and grill, you’ll know that it’s not a typical sports bar–instead of being housed in a traditional building, Ollie’s sits inside of a houseboat that’s literally floating on a pond in the middle of town.

With over 20 beers on tap to choose from, a unique location, and delicious comfort food, like the Pulled Pork Mac or the Peak 10 Burger, there aren’t many other spots in town that can compete with Ollie’s pull. Whenever there’s a game on, head over to Ollie’s for a good time.
