LocalVR began in 2015 not as a property management company, but as a cleaning service in Breckenridge, Colorado. Our founders weren't investors looking at spreadsheets from afar—they were locals who understood the unique demands of mountain hospitality firsthand.
By 2016, property owners started asking for more. They wanted someone who understood their homes, their guests, and their community. So we evolved into full-service property management, becoming early adopters of industry technology while never losing sight of what made us different: we lived here.
As we grew, we built our own technology. Owner portals, dynamic pricing tools, maintenance systems—all designed in-house because off-the-shelf solutions couldn't match how we actually operated. We didn't want to manage properties like a faceless corporation. We wanted to manage them like neighbors.
That philosophy guided our expansion. When we entered Park City in 2021, Lake Tahoe in 2022, and later Telluride, 30A Florida, Big Sky, and Vail—we didn't just open offices. We hired locals. People who ski the same mountains as our guests, who know which restaurants are actually worth the wait, who can tell you the best time to hit the beach before the crowds.
Today, LocalVR manages properties across seven premier destinations. But our approach hasn't changed. Every market has its own team of people who call that place home. They're not reading from scripts in a call center—they're your neighbors, taking care of your property like it's their own.
In an industry where "local" has become a buzzword, we're proud that for us, it's simply the truth. It's in our name. It's in our DNA. And after a decade, it's still what sets us apart.
