Best Places for Remote Working in Breck

The rise of remote work since 2020 has been unprecedented, making it possible to work from virtually anywhere with cell data coverage or a WiFi hotspot. As a result, some have mastered the art of balancing work and leisure by working from vacation destinations like Breckenridge, Colorado.

Surprisingly enough, there are quite a few options for coworking in Breck already, but today we’ll be covering some more creative spots you can work from while staying in Breck. If you’re on the hunt for a great place to park yourself for a day while you take meetings or work through your list of tasks, this guide is perfect for you.

Have an Artsy Remote Workday at Riverwalk Center

The Town of Breckenridge provides free WiFi hotspots in a few places, but none are more scenic or better to set up a temporary workspace than the gorgeous Riverwalk Center. Located in the heart of town and at the western-most point of the art district, Riverwalk Center is a 750-seat performance venue that hosts a variety of concerts and other events throughout the year. The original space was once just a tent set up for events, but since 2008 it's become Breck’s very own performing arts center.

While it would be wonderful if you could work from inside the venue itself, Riverwalk Center sits right on a beautifully-restored section of the Blue River, and there’s an outdoor area that’s perfect for setting up camp and getting through your work tasks for the day. On a sunny afternoon when the weather is nice, there’s truly no better place to work from in town.

Get Cozy at Mom’s Baking Company While You Cowork

If you are searching for the coziest and most comforting place to cowork or work remotely in Breckenridge, you can’t miss out on Mom’s Baking Company. This little coffeeshop and bakery is often heralded as one of the best in town for its baked goods and delicious brews, but it’s also a great place to sit back and take some meetings or finish up your to-do list for the day in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Located on North Main Street, Mom’s Baking Company is known for its signature cakes, which are perfect for any celebration that you might be having, but one thing you should not overlook is their Baked Teas, which are inspired by the Czech and European influences of the shop’s owner, Ema. Enjoy your favorite tea drink and a pastry while you work on your task list and you’ll be mountain heaven.

Spend a Day Coworking from Frisco Historic Park

Working remotely or coworking outdoors might not be for everyone, but if you enjoy seeing some beautiful scenery while you’re taking meetings, Frisco Historic Park is the place to go. Like many public spaces in Frisco, you can find a free WiFi hotspot in this park, and there’s tons of beauty to admire while you’re parked at one of the picnic benches or beneath the beautiful gazebo, where many of the town events take place.

Once you’ve finished checking items off of your task list for your workday, take some time to visit the Schoolhouse Museum on the property. This historic spot is home to a ton of artifacts, photos, and antiques from Frisco’s days gone by, plus there’s tons of historical information to take in at this museum. Spice up your workday by spending it outside soaking up the sun and then filling your mind with knowledge–you won’t regret it. Don’t forget to put on some sunscreen, however, as the Colorado sun can be intense at higher elevations.

Park Yourself at the Breckenridge Public Library for a Day of Remote Work

If you’re craving some peace and quiet to get things done while you cowork or work remotely in Breckenridge, you can’t go wrong with the Breckenridge Public Library. Located on Harris Street, the Summit County Library South Branch (as it is more commonly known) can be found inside of a beautiful two-story brick building with plenty of parking outside. While you won’t find a lot of big city amenities here, you will find plenty of places to spread out and get some work done, along with comfortable spots like couches and chairs to lounge in while you’re taking a break.

For those of you who like to read, one of the best parts of visiting the library in Breck is the selection of books available. Choose from hardcovers and softcovers in every fiction genre imaginable, or search through their selection of nonfiction for statistics to cite in your next work project or article. The possibilities are endless at the library, and in Breckenridge the library is something truly special.

Coworking From Breckenridge Gives You So Many Options

With the rise of remote working and coworking has come plenty of opportunities to enjoy your day while still getting everything done that you need to, and there are few better places in the Rocky Mountains to work from than in Breckenridge. Whether you choose to immerse yourself in Colorado sunshine while working from the Riverwalk Center or you’d like to keep yourself warm and cozy at Mom’s Baking Company, you can’t go wrong with remote working in Breck.
